Thanks for bringing this up -- because it's worth going over again: The price of a stock does not make it cheap or expensive, per se. The price of the *company* does (i.e. its market cap).

they are an international bank and main focus (and majority of their revenues comes from) is the overseas markets. i'm hopeful the global economy is making a comeback and people will start investing...

General rule: if a stock is trading for $5 it's because it's worth $5, not because it's a bargain
Other than the 'discounted price' - any explanation for why C @ $5 is a good buy?

It's a nice tool, but still not safe. I used the criteria and some stocks pulled up that I would never put a dollar in. There's no short cuts if you're going to throw in your hard earned money.
