Good point on the THX and darkness. I have a bright room. And also not as worried about SD. HD hockey and some video games. Although now I'm looking at that LCD Samsung 630 w BluRay player...

I can only speak on Panasonic Viera quality, But not this exact one. We have a 50 inch 720p we have had for about a 8 months now. Everyone that comes over has no idea its a 720p and always comments...

No it's not a misprint, it is a 60hz TV. Plasma tech has sub-field frames though, that are 10 per second that would equal the 600 you're talking about. But that's all besides the point. 60hz...
