It might help if you also post a screen shot of your Port Forwarding page. When you say "I tried forwarding the port to my 127 address, but it didn't work." Was that a typo, and you meant to say...

I cannot get my port to forward. I suspect it has something to do with the fact that the IP Address listed under WAN in tomato says one thing, but when i check my public ip address online it says...

Your ISP may be performing NAT themselves. Is your router hooked directly to your modem?
Post #37709607 added 03-02-2011 4:26 AM by dealgate in Archived Deals
What is the WAN IP on your router? If it is a 192.168..x.x, 10.x.x.x or 172.16-32.x.x you will not be able to port forward to your home router as this is a private IP range and not routable on the...

The WAN IP your router says is whatever the MODEM tells it is. Your Static IP resides within your Modem.

This device is just a modem, so there's nothing you need to do to get your WAN IP assigned to your ASUS router.

What's the WAN IP range on your router? Sometimes the cable company modem is running under 192.168.100.1. Log into the interface and see if you can set it to bridge the connection.
