Got a couple in Columbus, OH. Mine were the 3Gb/s variety - fine for my use. You must ask for them as they are "in back." Also "in back" is the 4gb DDR3 ram for $16 after rebate and coupon...

Thanks OP! Repped and TU. They are regularly $94.99 on sale for $64.99 but ring up for $44.99. It is not signed as $44.99. The employees seem to know about it. The 2 sales people I talked to admitted...

I bought 2 at the same store as you in Tustin, aigochamaloh. At the time I bought mine at 1 PM PST, there were around 11 left on the very top shelf of WD OEM hard drives, with the price tag on the...

I don't have any, but that depends more on your case. If it's thin, it'll have a tendency to rattle with any hard drive, which gets worse if the hard drive makes noises while seeking anyway.

I wish there was a Microcenter near me, but no, hhgregg had to take over all of the old Circuit City stores near me. Good deal nonetheless if you don't get a DOA that is.

Great that you could duplicate the deal! I'm seriously thinking about picking a few more up.

Went into Microcenter today to pick up the Hitachi 1TB with coupon, but they were out. Sales guy showed me this drive for $44.99, no rebate. Sticker says $94.99, but the guy knew it rings up for...

Microcenter has some good deals, but the lines are extremely long. 15 minute wait most of the time. 5 minute if its slow. They are also understaffed, only half of the lanes are open even though...

No Microcenter near me. They have the 3gb/second version online for 59.99 on sale, says original price 94.99. Makes me wonder if the B&M has lowered the 3gb/second version to clear them out, yet...

It appears the WD10EALS 3gb/second version has disappeared from their website. Maybe new models coming out and they are clearing inventory? Still a great deal if you can find one.

That's really weird. It was not there earlier as I both searched and drilled down to WD blue drives. Oh well, still a good deal, particularly if you can get the 6gb version.

Will this work for xbox 360?
Post #38293165 added 03-24-2011 2:30 PM by sbrown23 in Archived Deals
This is 3.5" drive. Xbox 360 would use 2.5" drive. http://sbrown23.wordpress.com/2010/11/16/xbox-360-hard-drive-upgrade-to-250gb/

Noise is not too bad for an HTPC. A little more seek/write noise than I would like though for use in a bedroom, even with the noise management feature turned on. I'll save some others the trouble...

Very very quiet! It's pretty normal now to not be able to hear the heads seeking in any modern hard drive.
Post #38070017 added 03-15-2011 11:31 PM by aigochamaloh in Archived Deals
I saw that too, which is why I low level formatted the drive and fully surface scanned mine. The drive has been running non stop since I brought it back. I've never had a Western Digital fail on me...
