There's no need to create a separate gmail voice acct for the obi. Incoming calls will get prioritized and ring the obi even when you're logged into the same gmail acct

searching around SD for ooma shows the best deal was $99 for a refurb with ~$3/mo tax and fees. I don't know whether the Ooma needs a computer on to work but that is a big selling point of this Obi....
