If you're not in a Fios area it's because they know you have no other option. If you are then it's probably because not enough people have actually canceled and switched yet.

I was only doing RoadRunner through TW in Upstate NY. I was doing Directv for my tv service. But I got a call from TW offering me this exact deal. They called it their stepup promotion or something...

Should have given them a date then waited it out a couple of days. Worse case they dont call you and you just call and un-cancel before the date. Best case they call you and try to get you to stay....

FWIW, I have TWC in NYC, and I was able to do something similar (although, not surprisingly, my rates are higher) when my rates went up after my first year with them.
