Samsungs that were FP on here from BB not long ago were pretty well reviewed. Typically I agree - the best deals are found on closeouts because the products aren't selling (for obvious reasons)......

My washer came with the hoses. They were inside the washer itself. Just a heads up, but you may be able to return the hoses you purchased for some additional $$ back.

The cheapest front load Washer/Dryer I could find that has mostly good reviews is the Samsung WF210ANW and dryer, though they have even less features than this set (no sound reduction, for instance)...
