Since it happens in both browsers - I wonder if it's Flash related. Just a thought, but what happens if you disable Flash, then try to upload?

McAfee is a piece of crap. Get Microsoft Security Essentials or Norton FAR. As for malware get Malwarebytes for free and run it every week.
