i think a cylinder varies between 15-18$.. and u gotta buy an empty cylinder first (runs at around 30-40$)... it easily lasts for more than 20 uses...

The big one would be being able to adjust the temp, hard to do with a charcoal, lets you grill a lot of different things. also charcoal sometimes puts off odd fumes / taste on whatever your cooking.

You can get a temp gauge for about $7.00 and then just use a step drill ($6.99 at harbor freight) to drill a hole for it. If you want to get real fancy you can seal it with RTV sealant ($3.99) .
