You can change the partition size with Easeus Partition Master. I have the paid server version and it will work on just about anything. But there is a free version. It works great.

The cursor jumping sounds like you may be hitting the touchpad on accident when typing.. causing the cursor to jump around - try disabling the touchpad and try typing again, and you'll know for sure...
