880 was top of the line without RF. However I think the best was the 720 because of the rubber buttons. I don't like the 880 because of the plastic buttons. But both work well!

You don't. Get a NYKO Blue-wave remote (~$10) for the IR receiver and teach the Harmony the controls. It will work for everything except power on/off.
