With the current price increase for E1000 and my incorrect assumptions regarding prime, Yes, I will agree with you its a no brainer to go for E2000.

I won't call E2000 as future. Currently refurbished E2000 cost 70% more than E1000 so I won't call it little more either. Well some might consider Gig LAN worth it.

If you are a very basic user, get the E1000, otherwise get the E2000. It's a no-brainer . . . gives you future upgradability for only a little more.
