Check the version number of your WRT160N. If it is v1.0, 1.1, or 3.0, it should work. If it is v2.0, it is RaLink based and may not bridge well. However, it should be able to WDS with the RT-N13U.

It depends on what you need. Besides the repeater function in stock firmware, the client mode (non-bridge) in dd-wrt also works pretty well. It just put the network devices in a different subnet....
