Would help if you told us what router model you have. But, generic reponse is that you are looking for "WEP key", "security key", or something similar.

you need to log in to the router it self and change the security. Wep and wpa-tkip can be broken in less then 5 mins. And once someone breaks your encryption they can see everything you do...

Sounds like your just using the wrong password. Log into the router to determine the actual password or reset it. If you are using WEP please change it because it is incredibly insecure.

This sounds like an ISP provided device which has the WEP key attached to the router itself. Like I said above, check the OS version.

On the bottom of my router it says WEP and a bunch of numbers... I'm guessing thats the password if memory serves me right.

We had this bug and discussed it on here before. Don't use wep, use wpa or it wont work. Don't know if anyone found a workaround with wep, but the easy solution was wpa.

there are flaws in the design of the security so wep about 1 min, and wpa-tkip about 5 mins.
