Also keep in mind, that in most cases, the TV is now HDTV, so you are better off setting up an alert for @title Panasonic(tv|hdtv) to take care of both @title Panasonic TV and @title Panasonic HDTV...

I was hoping something like this, "@title "panasonic" AND @title "TV" " would give alerts just for Panasonic TVs, but it is not working. Suggestions on how to correct?
And would "HDTV" be picked...

I just read over the deal alert FAQ and tried my original query in search and it worked just fine, but I'm definitely missing alerts. I'll try your suggestion, thanks!

Your original would sort of work, but the extra words would mess things up occasionally - the second @title and the "and" don't do anything in the search backend, so it would be trying to match them...
