I advise 2 things.
One, don't jump on the tail end of a month old thread, and expect anyone to pay any attention to your question.
Two, take it a tech-specific forum, like TechPowerUp, where...

A week and a half ago I bought an EVGA gtx 560 ti superclocked and am floored by how good the card performs based on the price. It came in at right around $220 after rebate. It plays all the games...

Hmm... these are all options on my plate right now. I set up deal alerts for 6870, 6950, 6970, 560ti and 570. Maybe I'll just go big with the 570 for now and grab a second one once prices drop for...

Thanks. I think right now I'm down to 6950 vs GTX 570. The inclusion of DX:HR is a big plus. This looks like a solid deal right now:...

Ahhh, I was gonna say, jump on the 6870 deal, and sell the games if you have to.
With new cards on the horizon, I would wait for the next deal to pop up!

mainly because not all games optimize for SLI and/or Crossfire
you may get a game like battlefield BC 2142 that initial release was very unstable for Crossfire setups, but fine for SLI setups.

I'd stick with a 6950. Go to the 'Egg, and check out the free DX:HR deals, and overclock it.

for games that won't use SLI/Crossfire or scale well, it'll revert back to the 1 HD6950 (or unlocked 6950)
so in those cases, the GTX 580 will outperform it.
You can't look at benchmarks, as...

I can't see "games that won't use SLI/Crossfire or scale well" being the norm going forward. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. Multi-platform games, possibly, but for PC exclusives you would...

reviews show the 1gb and 2gb don't really make much difference unless you're using eyeinfinity or gaming higher than 1920 X 1200.
but then again, if its a difference of like $10-20 dollars, i'd just...

Not to mention it beats the GTX 570 as well.
