So I kinda jumped the gun on the - 30off - 40MIR - 30UPMIR = Free] without knowing what the competitive upgrade actually was. Now that I know, I was wondering, with a lot of free anti-virus software...

Photocopy / scanned copy works fine.
Post #42673456 added 09-07-2011 9:34 PM by Superocean in Deal Talk
Quick question for someone experienced regarding Kaspersky competitive rebates. When it says "copy of the installation disk", what exactly does that mean? A photocopy of the actual CD? A burned...

Actually, Newegg does not consistently provide tracking information for free shipping. I sometimes get a USPS tracking # long after the item has been delivered.

anyone notice that frys does not give tracking number when they ship your order even on something like a laptop why is that? newegg is great about keeping you informed on each step of your order

See post #60 above. Rebate offer #10-37926 Validity dates:10/06/2010 to 09/30/2011 Both Trend Micro rebates require the original UPC. :( Nice MM if they had accepted just the POP and /or copy...

The pre-registration rebate form stipulates "Limit one rebate per qualifying purchase per unique product. Limit one rebate per household".
Post #42547128 added 09-03-2011 2:49 PM by Superocean in Deal Talk
Actually, technically the rebate does not say 1 rebate per household so.... I dont know. I personally wouldnt risk it with a $45 rebate but.... Most times when they mean 1 rebate per household, it...

yup, it was just a matter of time before they caught on as the big corporations have people that monitor SD for their sales. also, some goody two shoes could have tipped them off. yes, there are...

No, you may not, but you can try and argue with Kaspersky.
Post #42539108 added 09-03-2011 7:28 AM by Superocean in Deal Talk
It says "There is a limit of one (1) rebate per item, and a limit of one (1) per person." Can we apply for rebate in another person's name in the same address? It did not say limit one per household,...

The Kaspersky AV seems to be $59.99 instead of $45. I know there are 2 rebates, but the instant discount is no longer there.

thats because corporations pay out the ying-yang for symantec norton corporation versions which are slightly better then the FAR.
Post #42531964 added 09-02-2011 10:00 PM by Superocean in Deal Talk
Thanks. Wow, Symantec is so generous. Seems like they have a FAR offer every other week.

I can't just "guess" if I've done a rebate in the past... An offer number is what the processor uses and is what I use to keep track of claims.

Don't know the offer number, but you can judge by the offer time period: Product: Trend Titanium Maximum Security 3 user Rebate Reward: $35.00 Prepaid Debit Card Promotion: $35 Competitive...
