I guess for most people, size is the biggest reason to switch from 23'' to 27''

Yeah, I recommend this aswell. Great lean-back monitor. Better quality than the large and cheap Hanns-G and Hannspree monitors. Even has better user ratings than any of the Samsung 27" Don't...

Got one from last SD. But, mine has continuous mid to high pitched humming noise from monitor when I turn it on. But, if I set the brightness level between 30~37 or to 100, the noise will go away. ...

the native resolution for a monitor this big at 1080 makes the text look big. if you're gaming with it, no problems - just not good for text at 27" and 1080p.
Post #42725746 added 09-09-2011 9:11 AM by ninedayfall75 in Archived Deals
The thing I find funny, is most of the people complaining about resolution are the ones who would probably only use the monitor to watch videos on Youtube and play Farmville on Facebook. Like the...

been using this now for the past week, got this via Dell as well. Great, large monitor and 1080p is not too small for it. Yeah a higher res is always nice, especially now I have a GPU that can...

I am setting up a home office and need a lot of screen space for all of my applications. Would this be a good substitution for the dual monitors I am currently using?
Post #42738712 added 09-09-2011 2:23 PM by ninedayfall75 in Archived Deals
I already own this monitor, and it is awesome for gaming, movies and web surfing. That's all I use it for. Added resolution wouldn't make much of a difference for those things.

About to pull the trigger. Is there any other monitor that can beat this with similar specs, support, and price point? I'm thinking 'no'. Will this be cheaper later this year (like during BF)? ...

Text size by itself is meaningless. Here's an example, the text on a highway billboard is REALLLLLLLY BIG, but if you're too far away, it's too small to read. Same thing with a monitor. The...

Well, this is definitely going to be cheaper than a 1080p 32" TV, but one reason I might go with a TV anyway would be because the speakers on this thing are worthless. A TV will probably have a...

Probably not. What resolution are your current monitors? Even a pair of 1280x1024 monitors has more real estate than one 1920x1080.

I understand faster response times on a monitor, which is why it'd be optimal to find a TV with low input lag. I've read Panasonic TV's are good in that regard. Wouldn't resolution be either 720p...

Monitors are ALWAYS better for consols. Faster response time and better resolution. 23" is perfect for 1 player gaming. Your calculations are an epic FAIL... 40%???

If that 21 day from invoice policy is correct, it is a crummy policy. As you mention, an item might not arrive until a week or so later. The policy should be like some other online retailers,...

Torn. This would primarily be hooked up to an Xbox 360, but would a 32" TV be a better size for a bedroom? I'm figuring a 32" 1080p TV with good input lag will be harder to find. I'm anticipating BF3...

Do you mean your issues with the resolution? Or does this monitor have resolution problems? Not trolling, just looking for clarification since I may pick this up.

this monitor should be good for gaming, movies, etc. but for photo/video editing, probably not the best (IPS monitors will be better). Also, if you are sitting close to the monitor (like regular...

They mean they don't like the resolution. I'm not sure what a resolution problem is. Not bad for a 27", but it seems like size is the only thing going for this monitor.
