What this says to me also is that if you have any Chase card that has any type of reward program, you're not eligible. So if you have a Continental One Pass card from Chase, you're probably screwed....

I would suggest calling them and converting the card to some without any annual fee. That way you dont have to close the card and avoid having any record on ur credit history.

It's not recommended to cancel credit cards. It'll go against your credit ratio and will look bad for the next time you apply for credit.
