If you already have 8 GB RAM - there is no reason why you should be even thinking about 16 GB just to get some "performance boost" for BF 3. 8 GB for any PC game out there is plenty. You will see...

From my experience, it wasn't as fast as the stated 7-10 days. Took about 6-8 weeks for me.

Isn't 1.6 pretty standard? Isn't it crud like 1.8v that should be avoided? I mean, it IS 1600... In any case, good find; I just have a personal rift with rebates this big on ram. I wouldn't mind...

What brand of motherboard do you have? Some people claimed that setting the ram to 1600 with AMD builds resulted in BSOD.

1.8v is the DDR2 standard. I have a Corsair XMS3 which has jedec 1333 at 1.5v, and extra performance mode 1600 at 1.65v. I'm using the standard 1.5v with a core i3-2120, h61 chipset, and it's...

When you get the new memory, install them into the 1st paired slot. Usually that is the first matched colored slot (slot 0 or slot 1). The numbering will be dependent up on your motherboard model. ...

Gigabyte GA-970A-D3. I do have a mixed config, 2 of these and 2 Kingston 1600s, so it may be using slower timings. They are all 4 set to 1600 with no BSODs, no errors in MEMTEST86, it hasn't even...

I was reading the reviews on the Newegg website and a lot of AMD users have a hard time getting this ram to run properly at 1600. They say it's stable at 1333. I think I'm gonna pass on these and...

Root cause is the built-in memory controller on these AMD CPUs. Newer ones are a little better, but most will probably top out around 1500MHz. A better approach is to use lower timing and voltage...

Weird. I have mine running at 1600, set to 1.65V in BIOS (but health monitor reports actual voltage as 1.58V), no problems and passes MEMTEST86+ for 18-hours.

I'm in a little pickle here. I ordered these memory but not sure my motherboard supports them. I have R849J, which is an OEM Dell motherboard. It says 6 x 1066 or 1333 DDR3, 12GB max...is it safe...

Works just perfectly on my Gigabyte GA-970A-D3 with an old AMD Athlon II 250 Regor, so I'm pretty sure it will work fine with Bulldozer as well. IMO, the P55 stuff is just marketing.

Question... my alienware desktop has 6 slots... my manual says that if it's 1600mhz, it will only accept slot 1,5,6. But if 1333mhz, it will either accept all, or 1,3,5. Is there a way to get it to...

1.5V is what Sandy Bridge prefers. This RAM will work at 1333 at 1.5V. It'll also do 1600 reliably at 1.58V, or at least mine did (passed MEMTEST86 for about 18-hours). I didn't try 1600 at 1.5V....
how low can these really go. Another $10 drop since i saw it last time. They might give these away on BF.
