I have my fans running at 100% speed on my Hyper 212+ and the noise is very minimal. Granted, I have 2 Noctua 120mm fans attached to the Hyper 212+ so I did pay up for those fans which work...

I updated the wiki with a link and summary of a toms hardware article. You are correct that at idle, you only save 1 watt, but at load these sticks save 6 watts compared to 1.5v.

I have this RAM and the Hyper 212+ and it is slightly too tall. Can you force it to fit? Possibly. However, I didn't want to risk it so I just moved the two sticks to slots 2 and 4 on the mobo.
