Well, yes you are both right but..... I am also looking for system for my sister and brother-in-law. Now they are running with a 10 year old Dell GX270. They will probably be running with...

Ah, I think I remember that one. The deal I'm talking about was an i7 2600 with a 5770. Either way I don't think this deal is particularly great, although the monitor it comes with is probably worth...

It is true Dell I/O backplates are built into the case. Will be a problem when upgrading MOBO or transferring system to a new case. Never ceases to amaze me. People who know they want to DIY and...

Not bad. I think I paid a bit under $700 for my 8300 with a 23" 1080p monitor + an HD 6870 and 750GB HDD. Not sure if it's worth the $300 for a slightly better monitor and a big down grade on the GPU...

Yeah... BYO is great if you know what you are doing. i have spent 15 years building systems, and am fighting over a nice $1500 build right now that wants to find some heat issue. Deals like these are...

Jofeda took the bait. I got this for internet surfing on a 10yr plan as well! Worried about the cost/benefit ratio here for my situation but thanks a third off is indeed enticing. Thanks OP

Post #43551944 added 10-04-2011 9:26 PM by Muad Dib in Archived Deals
Hope that Dell will post another deal without the monitor as they have done in th past....

The monitor is the real jewel of this deal...its an IPS thats 16:10 ratio...I dont believe its eIPS, so it should have the full color gamut. Plenty of people will take it off your hands if you price...

Why do people troll name-brand PC deal threads telling others to build their own? Who are they trying to make suffer, the people interested in the deal or themselves? And why to they care? ...

Are you referring to the "scratch & dent" ones? May want to specify that part Also, note those scratch & dent deals did not come with 24" IPS monitors

No. The other deal came with a 5770, which is basically the same thing as a 6770. The video card on this deal is not as good. I don't know what your mom/pop are doing on the internet, but this...

I couldn't find that thread for some reason. I need to import my bookmarks on this Dell 8300. So far so good but the SATA III is still a major bottleneck in the Windows performance score. I7 2600...

Yeap... I expect to see a lot of posts in the future from people who buy SSDs and don't realize that only 2 of the 4 SATA headers on the 8300 are SATA III. Even though it is clearly stated in the...
Post #44403534 added 11-04-2011 12:19 PM by eduong in Archived Deals
