It will work but sandy bridge is recommended to have a 1.5v on ram. This requires 1.65v t run at the rated specifications. If you do choose to run it, I think your computer will chug happily along,...

For reference, the G.Skill RAM that was FP a couple days ago was DDR3 1600mhz at 1.5v for $40 no rebate, $36 after coupon.

Yup, if you want 1.5V, better to buy ram that is guaranteed 1.5V
Especially if you can get it for the same price. I would expect 1.65V to be a little cheaper unless maybe ram has already bottomed...

Actually, it is rated at 1.65V to run at the listed specs. It might work with lower volts
