extremely slow GPS (and so is the equivalent Tom Tom).... just try panning the map to browse...very frustrating experience.. these GPSs really need a faster processer

According the feature comparison, the 1490 has Bluetooth feature and 1450 does not. Personally I think that is a very useful feature.
