I'm pretty sure the v1.4 or v1.5 is about the elm327 chip version. Also, there's no such thing as v1.5 version per manufacturer description on their web. The latest version is v1.4b. Power saving...

Hey, sorry guys. It was a lightning deal 8 hours ago. I am in China and it was midnight for me. It was also a lightning deal back on 12/5 so maybe they will do it again. The price was $85.

Reprogram? These systems are only for monitoring the OBD readings and wiping codes. It won't let you mess with the ecu really. If you're in CA, I'd suggest asking LTBMW. You can find him on E90post....

there's also a v1.5. From what I can tell, that's the version of the PC software that comes with it. If you are going to use android app, it doesnt matter.

The code will come back once the parameter goes out if spec again yes. Pulling the battery AND discharging the electrical system will clear the code and your radio settings and your readiness...

it would do that with OBD1, but not with OBD2 I have elm327 BT adapter, works with torque, and pairs with my laptop, but I cannot get it to work with scantool software, my usb version works fine!

Yes all manufactures do. But obdii is a set standard of certain parameters in a certain unit ersal language if that makes sense.
