I agree, I made the external drive into and internal and I am getting up to 150 MB/s transfer speeds(around 120 MB/s constant) from my 7200 RPM SATAIII drive to the 5900 RPM SATAII drive.

Now if these were actually 7200 RPM, it would be even worse. Although the performance using USB 3.0 is about the same as my 7200 RPM SATAIII(6Gb/s) drive. Either way the external 2TB was a good deal....

Really? I just typed in the serial number on the internal drive and Seagate's website said it was an OEM part and the drive itself carried no warranty from Seagate, which is exactly what I expected....

That's true. This OP is a crock for posting it is 7200rpm without knowing for sure if the ones being sold by Staples were 7200rpm. But 7200rpm, internal or not, there's no way you pay more than 2x...
