this is not a 120hz just like the lg one use 60hz as 3d, 550 get you a bigger samsung 27" 3d led with 120hz will be more useful.

Supposedly, the ps3 remote works with this monitor. Also, this was $399 at Fry's last week so it will probably be cheaper again really soon.

You could still use some sort of cable box, TiVo, etc to use it as a TV. It does have 2 HDMI and 1 Component inputs for use with multiple devices.
