The generic HP recycling is a one time deal for each reward account, but you may have more than one reward account. I have one for my home and one for work.

Yes, already did it twice in-store. It even stacked with the 15% off coupon that expired 12/1. However, I had done the generic promo which gave me the 10% off.

Original won't do usually. Some just removed the label and they took them. Just don't try to use ones with HP embossed on the cart.

Just tried going through an order (logged in first, so it knows my rewards number),

Online you see it automatically if you log in with a staples.com account tied to the Rewards account with the discount. Just display an HP ink cart. No need to check out or anything.
