Hi, I'm basically wanting the best gamepad to play PC games on Steam. I don't need the item right away and would prefer to get something under $50. Wired or wireless doesn't really matter to me....

if you're buying a wireless 360 controller, you need to get a wireless receiver for your pc as well. You'll be fine buying the wired version and just plugging it in to download drivers. And there...

Amazon matched Best Buy's price of $35.99 for the wireless controller, $1 less than newegg. For gaming on the PC, you probably want the USB version though. It's $29.99 at amazon too.
