Personally I'd skip the i3-2100 in your situation, and opt for one of the AMD bundles they offer, or jump up to the i5-2500k

I guess the way I see it is I don't mind dumping a low-end part. So I'd dump an i3 or Pentium, but never an i5 or better. Also, you may be able to pick up a 3rd Gen i5 with a motherboard discount....

How is the AMD bundle "a lot" better?
I'm pretty sure it's worse unless you're a hardcore overclocker. The dual-core Phenom II x2 doesn't compare to the i3 and costs about the same as i3 bundles....
