I would only use this for my alarm clock at the most. Why they call these less that 750 joule and less power strips a surge protector is beyond me.

meh...if you were a real SD'er, you'd have at least 40 or 50 APC 350watt backups from the Staples clearance threads for your computer. None at the store near my house, otherwise I'd grab a few.

The Utilitech set has a higher joule rating... as the other set only lists 312 joules on it's box, versus 750. Other than that, they are both cheap surge protector, which are better than nothing.
