I used amazon GC that I accumulated from Target deals last time. So it turned out to be free anyway. wish I used it to buy newegg gc instead. damn amazon so expensive at $389.

Yep same Marvel 9174 controller as the M4. Corsair Performance Pro and Intel 510 drives but a lot cheaper and with a 5 year warranty

Plextor is probably as old or older than maxtor. Plextor used to be known for their great cd-r/rw drives.
