Shady marketing, no mention of lumen output. Just saying 40W equiv, isn't good enough. As actual brightness of 40W equiv, can vary by 10-20% from company to company.

This is not the same product ID but maybe the same line of variations. Here it states 410 LUMENS/56 L/W on the current model. That is about a typical 40W bulb.
