I got 2 TBRs that were both randomly crashing, filed a RMA with Patriot, super easy so far, got approved within two days and they told me since they no longer make TBRs they are sending me 2 Torqx...

Here's what I got from mine. It was a PS-100 Like most people expected. Firmware is most current version. Two more should be here tomorrow. Strange that you would get a different model.

Yeah you guys have me worried now. I've got my drive plugged in as we speak, going to run some endurance testing on it to see if it stays functional. I think I'll stay away from Patriot SSDs in the...

Just came across this looking for parts to build my brothers computer. Not a bad price to get into the SSD scene. Would be great for someone with a Z68 board to use as a cache drive. Shipping for me...

All devices have reliability issues, the point is do they have more reliablity issues when compared to standard hard drive. The answer to that has generally been no, however long term testing stats...

This would be my concern as well. What exactly does "refurbishing" an SSD include? Might I potentially end up with an SSD that was RMA'd after 11 months of being hammered on? FWIW, I had an...

So maybe I'd be better off setting a few spare laptop drives I have in a RAID0 instead of using this in a SmartCache setup? I get over 100mb/s for that...

True, it requires a $100 purchase...but at least it's a decently performing new drive instead of a mediocre to bad used one. And I stand by my statement, "Don't buy a refurbished SSD. It's like...

Don't buy a refurbished SSD. It's like buying a used tooth brush. EDIT: If you really wanted an SSD, you should have just bought the free Patriot Torque 2 32GB that Newegg Business was giving away...
