I've read terrible reviews on the 18-135 lens, You would be better off (IMO) to get the 18-55 kit for $711, spend another $200 on a EF-S 55-250mm, or maybe just get one of the nifty 50's :)

The Canon 50mm 1.8f is a great lens and its only $100. Build quality isn't the best, but if you threat it well, it works great and you get some amazing shots.

I know this is not a "barn burner" of a deal, but the 18-135 lens package does not go on sale very often.
As far as the card, it wont hurt anything to have a nice card, pictures or video.
