u will get the bonus- but only when the file finished uploading.
so if u delete it in the middle u will get nothing.
dropbox doesn't have a problem resuming an upload so u don't have to worry...

Not sure about osx but on windows, you have to use auto play to sync the pictures. You can't manually drop them in the folder.
