I've been holding out for a deal on the HX929, but this is an enticing offer for the HX820. Is the difference between the two very significant? Maybe it's not worth waiting for?

I would say that the biggest difference is the design. The HX820 has a monolithic, single sheet of glass, look, while the HX729 does not. Both are 240hz, I believe.
