I hear similar things about Pioneer, except that Pioneer's service is worse. The alternative is paying much. much more for Yamaha or Denon.

No way I would even consider buying ANY Onkyo receiver. They are notorious for having a short life span and breaking down. Such as the huge problem with the HDMI inputs crapping out. :eek:
