Does using this item expose your home network to hacking or spyware? If so, is there a way to isolate the drives connected to this unit and protect the rest of the drives on the network?

So even if I hook terabytes up to this thing I can only access 5GB or are they saying in addition to access to all connected drives they allow you a 5GB cloud? Kind of ambiguous.

You don't need to upload anything "to their servers", unless you want to back up files to the PogoPlug cloud (which gives you 5 GB for free). All files reside on the drive(s) connected to the device....

So again, the cloud doesn't limit the sharing of your drives. You can connect and share your entire drive and the 5GB Cloud is another totally different feature, yes?
