Did you DV (dispute & validate) the CA (collection agency) before offering the PFD? A great resource for credit situations & advice is CreditBoards.com

Reading about Credit Protection Asset on CreditBoards , they are known to fold with DV letters but it may take 2-3. But if you don't want to go that route then I'd pay either Credit Protection Asset...
