You don't set the size of the speakers based on whether you have a sub; you set them based on what they can handle. And, the Monitor70s can handle lower frequencies, so you should set them to Large....

Aside from what's been posted about this, I've seen issues where a y-cable is required in order for the sub to wake from standby. But this depends on the sub, and is not that common.
