DE Blades aren't really multipupose. Single-edge blades can be though. There are different grades of those. Thin ones for shaving or thick ones people buy in hardware stores cheap and use for home...

I would say from what I have read, they are are possibly a 3rd or fourth place to feathers in sharpness. But when judging on price/sharpness/number of shaves, they rate high in all areas.

Buy one of those Handles, Put a Razor Blade inside, Use the Shaving Cream and Brush listed. And you are good to go. Many videos online, and you will get the hang of it with a couple of shaves.

It depends on a lot of factors, skin, skill, time, etc. Great for some, not so good for others. Don't worry about old skool, very few people ever see you shaving. The end result is what matters.
