This is an LED. All LED's are LCD's, but not all LCD's are LED's.

B&M there are about 5 Bestbuy's around me and I checked the clearance and open box section of the website. They even have the a 47 LED LG for $599 and a Sony 46" 3D set for the same prices $849.

Just check in the description before buying open box. They list whether it is the box or if the item actuslly has cosmetic damage. I have yet to see a TV listed as like new that has cosmetic damage....
