Just a word of caution. Some laptops only support ~7mm drives. I recently bought one of the Crucial M4's that's ~9mm and it does not fit in my laptop.

Good idea. Most laptops accept 9.5mm drives, but a few are 7mm. Check your laptop's specs before you buy.
