I grind it, to mix it later with milk. But you can also use whole seeds on salad or oatmeal etc. These seeds, toasted just a litle bit, gives great flavor and crunch.

I was just looking into buying flax seed the other day. These got really good reviews but were a bit expensive so I passed. Defenitely in now. I like that I can freeze them to lock in the nutrients.

And once they are, the PUFA's go rancid quite quickly. It's not the high oil content per say, it's the nature (or the instability) of the fats/oils and their exposure to 02 that spoils the party....

I add flax seeds along with other smoothie ingredients and grind everything up. I've also had them whole with honey which is also delicious.
