I called and was told I had to spend $3000 a month for 6 or 8 months to get a $500 award. I asked and was told this was the only offer that applied to me. So, yes, it is targeted.

These cashback promotions are targetted to specific accounts and they usually send out letters. You can try calling but CS won't be able to activate it to your account unless it's already there.

I dont get these since its my primary card and I spend $4000 a month on it, never get them. But $200 worth of GC's a month keeps it my main card(shop discover)
