I have this TV and love it and get nothing but compliments on it. Highly recommend! I paid about $1800 back in July, and got a blu-ray player and megamind 3D starter kit.

I have the C8000 which I love but I think the D series blows it away. I was hoping to eventually get the 55D8000 for around 1500. Doubt it will ever drop that much.

I have a 42" Plasma, but is a 2007 model I believe..possible early 2008. It is still going strong, however it does use a good amount of electicity and gets pretty damn hot. I only paid $535 for it...
