Yeah that deal is definitely better if you can wait for something similar to come again.

Just get a better mobo, the 6450 would be an extra $40 you don't need to spend, the GPU on this APU is able to do the things you need, you just need a mobo that has HDMI out, spend the extra 40...

Fine. Drop this combo in your Thermaltake Level 10 and knock yourself out. Do you have an airplane hangar for a garage? When you need to transport a file, do you carry a NAS around? Mini-ITX is...

Hi folks. Looking to build a HTPC and seriously considering this Llano or the Core i3 2100T. My uses will be mostly on-the-fly transcoding performance as I travel a lot and have a home server at...

AMD is dead as a doornail. There isn't a single AMD CPU comes within a thousand miles of the i7 3930k overclocked and when Ivy Bridge is released that gap will widen another 1000 miles. Even the i5...

From what I remember, you will not see much an upgrade. In fact, I don't think there will be any upgrade if you already have a 6 series gpu. I don't like this cpu either. Tri-core 2.1 is just weird.

Hmm, that's a possibility but I had read a lot of issues with using intel CPUs for HTPCs (like the bluray framerate issue, etc). In all my research (read: googling) it seems like AMD wins for pure...

Let me play devil's advocate for a minute. Microcenter has the Phenom II X6 1045T and Asus M5A78L-M LX PLUS for $120 plus tax. The 1045T overclocks easily to 3.375 Ghz. (13.5 x 250) At the...

Yes, you could put another Radeon card in here, and then run in a "dual card" mode where both the GPU and the APU work in crossfire, from what I understand. However, I believe that someone said that...

No they don't. And most sense AMD hopes this a saving grace for them. Discrete graphics is always a nicer thing in my opinion but for for many things it's unnecessary, esp day to day video demands,...

... not sure if serious. "Digital Visual Interface" (DVI) does not carry any sort of audio information. DVI->HDMI adapters only get the video feed.

haha... you probably think DVI only carries Digital video data too, not Analog (DVI-I, DVI-A on the C pins)... :) do some reading my friend, the acronym and name mean nothing.
