Opinion only here, but I'd wait another month or so for Ivy Bridge. This is a great deal and amazing performance, but not enough to replace a 920 when there's fresh stuff soon. If I had nothing (or...

Is that 4.8ghz stable on something like intelburntest? I can't get my 2500K stable unless I put a lot of volts through it (like 1.4x for 4.8 and 5.0Ghz requires 1.5V) so I dropped it back to 4.6.

Mine's running happily at 4.4.. could probably get it up higher, but I'm maxing out my SC2 settings as it is, and that's all I wanted. :)

Ugh, got to love how it's always in-store only... Maybe I'll create Majorcenter and run them out of business. Washington State only baby. And maybe one in Las Vegas.

This could be a YMMV, but when I was in the Madison Heights, MI store last Spring, I bought the 2500K + a open box mobo, and they gave me all deals/discounts even though it was an open box board. I...

good choice, i've read that card is supported well. FWIW - the card I chose seems to be perfectly stable - and OS X performs better than Win7 actually. I just wish I had waited a few days and got in...

Picked up the Z68 board (rev 2) with the i2500k for $199 + Tax at my local MC. Gigabyte rebate will cover the tax, so the total will be $197 or so. Also got an LG DVD drive for a buck (Link)

I'm still seeing the old price of $85 (AR) before the $50 discount. Am I missing something or did they already change their ad back so soon?

Most tech sites compared Sandy Bridge to Nehalem when it was released. Tech report doesn't have the i7 920 on the charts, but the 950 is basically the same, if just a tick faster.
