Probably because it is Samsung and not those crap brands such as Sceptre Insignia Sanyo and worst of all, Dynex. I would rather have a 23'' Sammy refurb than a brand new 36'' crap brand any...

Just reading through some amazon reviews. Apparently the monitor is set up to apply video filters to all the inputs unless you select "PC" as the name of the source.

Let us know how it goes with the return/replacement. I noticed they raised their price on ebay up for $180 and their direct price to $170, making it higher than hdtvguyz open box price of $165. Mine...

The necessity of this feature mainly is from this TV/monitor still using a TN panel instead of the MVA/IPS panels found in bigger TVs due to the need for wider viewing angles.

Are you able to check how many hours the TV has been used? In a recent thread a poster said they purchased a display TV from Target and it had 4000+ hrs on it, just one thing to consider that I...

Man, I'm kind-of getting sick of turning this thing on every time I want to use it. Does anyone know if there is a signal detect feature or something that will turn it on automagically like a monitor?
Post #48943410 added 04-01-2012 10:57 PM by SDChaserOC in Archived Deals
I could only speak for the screen itself, super clear. Perfect for bed time cod mw3 :p

It's hard to believe that anyone would buy a monitor right now and blindly assume it was 120hz. They're definitely in the minority, and they generally have 120hz so they can do 3D at 60hz.

nope, no bleeding on my lcd.

it shouldn't do this automatically, only when you hit the menu button. perhaps the button on your remote is stuck?

I believe this is known as backlight clouding when it's not uniform like that. You can see some extreme examples of it if you image search for the term. I've seen it on a few LED backlit screens...

On the listing page the seller offers a guarantee for 60 days... "full functionality". They will send a prepaid shipping label. That makes me a little less worried about pixel issues

I got one of these from the Quick Ship Electronics website about a month ago. Love it so far! I agree with StickyBumps, I'd prefer a refurbed 1080p Samsung over a Sceptre any day. If I didn't know...

What is the approximate size of the PIP window? In inches or % of the screen, or however you want to express it. Also can you change which area the PIP window is displayed?

I've had this TV/Monitor for about a week now. Picture quality is great, but it's only at 60Hz. If i had known, I personally wouldn't have bought it, but it's my fault for not realizing 5ms = 60Hz.
